HMM - Reporting Definitions - Glossary Terms

Glossary Term

Definition/Sample Value

ACTIVE USER

A user that has logged into the HMM platform and accessed content (a course or lesson) within the timeframe specified Even if the user is now expired, during the timeframe that were active (if at all) they will be considered Active or Dormant

DAYS SINCE LAST VISIT

The time between today and a visitor's last visit date. Answers the question: "How recently did the learner visit?

DORMANT USER

The count of users for the given month (or quarter) that have had previous activity within the last 12 rolling months and were capable of being active in the pictured month (or quarter) Even if the user is now expired, during the timeframe that were active (if at all) they will appear as Active or Dormant

EXPIRED USER

A user whose access to the HMM platform has been revoked, but has prior activity within the timeframe specified

NEW USER

A user that has become an Active user for the first time

PROGRESS

Percentage of learners who complete one or more components of a topic: Lesson, Assessment, On-the-Job

REPEAT USER

A user that has qualified as an Active user two or more times within the specified timeframe

RETURNING USER

A user that has been Active at least once before their current activity (regardless of the specified timeframe)

Question: This Harvard ManageMentor course is aligned to my business priorities and development goals

SURVEY: JOB IMPACT

Question: I will apply what I learned from this Harvard ManageMentor course to my job

SURVEY: KNOWLEDGE IMPACT

Question: I gained new skills and knowledge from this Harvard ManageMentor course

SURVEY: RESULTS

Question: The new learning I apply will improve my actual performance on the job

TIME IN COURSE

Cumulative time a user spent within a course. This is depicted in both hours and/or minutes depending on the card in the dashboard. The location should specify the measurement

TOTAL LICENSES

Total pool of licenses

UTILIZATION

A percentage of the number of Active users compared to the total number of contract licenses available

VISITOR S

ame definition of Active User: a user that qualified as an Active during the timeframe specified (unique)

VISITS

An Active User’s unique session (non-unique: a single user can have multiple visits) . Each session expires after 30 minutes of inactivity
